Before occupational therapy, Lee Ann was a professional musician in NYC for 15+ years. For over 10 years, Lee Ann has continued to create collaborative community music through the Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall’s Musical Connections Program along with her band - the Biddies. Each season, you can find her performing in prisons, hospitals and homeless shelters, as well as facilitating songwriting workshops for underserved populations throughout the 5 boroughs. In addition to the work she and the Biddies do with Musical Connections, you can also hear the Itty Biddies (the band's family-centered iteration) performing their high-energy, interactive original music for children through CarnegieKids.

My main uke is a Kala tenor made of spalted flame maple with a spruce top. I've installed a K&K twinspot pickup for playing live & recording, and I LOVE it. I also have a Flea I use for teaching, and a Kala lacewood spruce baritone for fun.

If you are looking for something to learn on for cheap, or to teach a child with, these Makala Dolphin ukes are pretty good for such an inexpensive instrument, although a flea is a lot more hardy with a better sound - made in the USA too! Scroll down for my bio...
